Upon entering the world we are already armed with an innate set of specific movement patterns. As we begin to explore the world around us, we utilize these movement patterns and begin strengthening our bodies and brains.
Through movement we develop our proprioception, or our body map; how we move and experience our environment. The better our body map, the better we move. The development of the brain and the body are inextricably linked, with physical movement being described as, "the basis for cognitive, social and emotional development." (Ewout Van-Manen, The Well Balanced Child).
As children we learnt to move in all planes of motion, in all possible combinations of movements, building strong, resilient bodies and brains that can serve us for life. The Human Animal Program incorporates all of these patterns in a comprehensive yet concise manner allowing us to restore and return our bodies and brains to the versatile, capable and resilient status they are made for.
This is an 8 week program which can be performed 3 4 5 or 6 days per week, and can be repeated as many times as desired or indefinitely.
